-OnePlus 11R 5G Review: A Promising Start

OnePlus has been on a tear lately. The company has released a succession of excellent phones, including the OnePlus 8 Pro, which is one of the best Android phones you can buy. The OnePlus 8T continues that trend, and now the company has released its first 5G phone, the OnePlus 8T 5G.

The OnePlus 8T 5G is a mid-range phone that's available on AT&T and T-Mobile in the US. It's powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus 5G processor and comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. On the back of the phone, there's a quad camera setup that includes a 48-megapixel main camera, a 16-megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 5-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The phone also has a 16-megapixel front-facing camera.

OnePlus 8T 5G Review:

The OnePlus 8T 5G is a solid phone, but it's not without its flaws. The biggest issue is the price. At $799, it's $200 more expensive than the OnePlus 8T, which is already a pretty pricey phone. The other issue is the camera. While the quad camera setup is a nice addition, the overall quality of the photos isn't as good as what you'll get from other phones in this price range.

The OnePlus 8T 5G is a good phone, but it's not a great phone. If you're looking for a 5G phone, there are better options available, such as the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G or the OnePlus 8 Pro 5G.

-OnePlus 11R 5G Review: A Solid Contender

OnePlus has been on a bit of a winning streak lately. The company's flagship OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro impressed us with their top-tier specs and features, while the more budget-friendly OnePlus 8T delivered great value for money. Now, the company is back with its first 5G-enabled phone in the form of the OnePlus 11R 5G.

The OnePlus 11R 5G is a mid-range smartphone that offers a lot of the same features and specs as the OnePlus 8T, but with the addition of 5G connectivity. That means you're getting a phone with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, a spacious 6.55-inch display, and a large 4,500mAh battery.

OnePlus has also made some changes to the design of the 11R 5G, opting for a more curved back panel that's reminiscent of the OnePlus 8 Pro. The camera module has also been slightly redesigned, and now houses three cameras instead of four.

So, is the OnePlus 11R 5G a solid contender in the mid-range 5G market? Let's find out in our full review.

Design

The OnePlus 11R 5G features a new design that's a departure from the company's previous phones. Gone is the flat back panel of the OnePlus 8T, replaced by a more curved design that's reminiscent of the OnePlus 8 Pro.

The camera module has also been redesigned, and now houses three cameras instead of four. The module is still quite large, but it's not as obtrusive as it is on the 8T.

OnePlus has also ditched the physical volume buttons in favor of capacitive buttons that are built into the frame of the phone. This is a controversial move, as some users prefer the feel of physical buttons.

The 11R 5G is available in two colors: Glacial Green and Frosted Silver.

Display

The OnePlus 11R 5G features a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080. That works out to a pixel density of 402ppi, which is on par with other mid-range phones.

The display is bright

-OnePlus 11R 5G Review: A Worthy Successor

OnePlus has been on a bit of a winning streak lately. After the release of the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro earlier this year, the company followed up with the OnePlus 8T. Now, just a few months later, we have the OnePlus 8T 5G.

The OnePlus 8T 5G is the company's first 5G phone, and it's also the first 5G phone to be powered by the Snapdragon 865. It's a pretty impressive phone all around, but is it worth the extra money over the OnePlus 8T? Let's find out in our full review.

Design

The OnePlus 8T 5G looks a lot like the OnePlus 8T, but there are a few subtle differences. The most noticeable difference is the addition of a 5G logo on the back of the phone. Other than that, the phone is identical to the 8T.

The OnePlus 8T 5G is made entirely of glass, with a metal frame in between. The front of the phone is dominated by the 6.55-inch AMOLED display. There's a small hole-punch cutout in the top-left corner of the display for the selfie camera.

The display has a resolution of 1080 x 2400 and a refresh rate of 120Hz. It's a great display, and it's one of the best we've seen on a OnePlus phone.

Around the back of the phone, there's a quad-camera setup. The camera module is slightly protruding, but it's not too bad.

The OnePlus 8T 5G is available in two colors: Aquamarine Green and Lunar Silver. We've been using the Aquamarine Green model, and we think it looks great.

Internals and performance

The OnePlus 8T 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 865, which is the same processor that's in the OnePlus 8 Pro. It's a very powerful processor, and it's more than capable of handling anything you throw at it.

The phone comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. There's also a 12GB/256GB model available, but we think the 8GB/128
